Kasa Tupua Pierson has over a decade of coaching and program management experience in athletics, education, and the nonprofit sector. Kasa recently joined the Ballard High School Girls Basketball community as the Head Junior Varsity Coach. Previous experiences include managing academic programs with the Institute of Public Service at Seattle University, policy analysis with the Office of Program Research in the Washington State House of Representatives, coordinating intergenerational programs through AmeriCorps, and coaching girls'/women’s basketball and softball in the high school and college levels.
Kasa serves as a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters of King County, and has enjoyed past volunteer experiences with the Washington State Nonprofit Conference Planning Committee, Habitat for Humanity, and MultiCare, to name a few organizations. Kasa earned her Master of Public Administration degree from Seattle University, a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Puget Sound.
