Kathleen is the Chief Executive Officer of The Russell Family Foundation, where she collaborates with the board to guide the Foundation’s strategic planning, programs, and community affairs; and oversees the Foundation’s impact investing, finance, risk management, information technology, and operations. She has extensive experience with both for-profit and nonprofit development, and the financial advising of many entities, including deep involvement in operations. Kathleen previously served as the Foundation’s interim Chief Executive Officer for one year and Chief Financial Officer for five years. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was Director of Finance for an independent wealth management firm serving individuals, multigenerational families, and foundations. She also founded and operated a public accounting firm that provides CFO services to businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and nonprofits for more than a decade.
Kathleen is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to 501 Commons, she also serves on the board of directors for Confluence Philanthropy.
