Marc is the Interim Executive Director for 501 Commons. In early 2025, Marc transitioned off the board and into a full-time role as Head of Finance and Administration for the organization. He had served on the Finance Committee and was a 501 Commons board member for almost four years before moving internally to champion 501 Commons' mission from the inside.
Previously, Marc had been the Executive Director of The Salvation Army’s government grant funded social services efforts in Seattle. Preceding that leadership position, he served as The Salvation Army’s Northwest Division’s CFO. Prior to joining The Salvation Army, Marc was the Chief Operating and Financial Officer for Triumph, a behavioral health and diversified social services agency in Yakima.
Before pivoting fully into the nonprofit space, Marc worked as the Director of Finance and Operations for a boutique fundraising agency called Masterworks that largely serves faith-based nonprofits. That role succeeded a 12-year career in tech as an FP&A Controller and Senior Manager for Cisco and Microsoft's services consulting businesses.
With a blend of operational and finance leadership success across multiple for-profit and nonprofit organizations and verticals, Marc brings a blend of purpose-driven passion and exemplary stewardship and efficiency to honor donors’ and funders’ generosity and trust.
Marc was born in Singapore and also grew up in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. He earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, his BA at the University of California Santa Barbara, and has worked overseas in Europe as a dual EU and U.S. citizen.
Fun Fact: Marc lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife and four children. When he’s not losing to his wife in tennis, he’s losing to his kids in Fortnite, Minecraft, or Roblox.
