As the Director of Administrative Services, Amanda manages 501 Commons' internal systems, stewards our collaborative and quality-focused culture, and oversees the Financial Services and Human Resource programs for nonprofit clients.
A native of Washington, Amanda originally hails from Spokane, though she got her official start in nonprofit work as an AmeriCorps member serving in Denver, CO. She spent eight years there working on issues of food security and homelessness before returning to Washington to join the 501 Commons team.
Amanda knows from experience what a difference nonprofits make in making sure all people have enough food, a safe place to live, and opportunities for employment. Working at 501 Commons offers the opportunity to support organizations that work toward social justice, and nothing inspires her more than connecting people to causes they care about.
Amanda has a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and most recently worked as Community Relations Director for Denver Urban Ministries, serving as a leader during a time when the organization’s impact grew rapidly. Amanda always enjoys Sounders games, hiking, and the occasional craft project, but mostly spends her "spare" time chasing around her new daughter.
