Client Engagement Manager

Katie Muir has 20+ years of experience in human resources and nonprofit management, primarily working in education and service organizations. Before working at 501 Commons, Katie served as the director of out-of-school time programs, which served at-risk children and youth of low-income families. She has experience in project management, client relations, grant writing, and professional development.

Katie enjoys volunteering with service organizations such as Kiwanis and Key Club, and being involved in the community and fundraising. She has a passion for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) and has assisted organizations that teach youth robotic and 3D printing skills through extracurricular clubs and competitions. She is dedicated to helping nonprofits meet their mission.

Katie has lived in Hawaii, Maryland, Florida, Arizona, and now has settled in her southeastern Idaho roots. These journeys gave her a love of meeting new people and hearing their “life stories.” She studied business management at BYU-Hawaii and Idaho State University. She is a life-long learner, avid reader, and enjoys listening to crime podcasts.

Fun Fact: Katie enjoys hiking, kayaking, and attempting to train the family yorkies, Chewbacca and Piper. She loves spending time with her husband Scott and their five children. She tries to schedule as many trips as possible to visit her daughters and beautiful beaches in Florida.
