Katrina Gonzalez Yuen is a Human Resources consultant with a varied HR background. She started her HR career at Nike, Inc.’s Global World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR, focusing on Global Mobility and International Compensation and Benefits for the Asia-Pacific region. She then moved on to FMYI, Inc., a Portland-based startup where she wore all HR hats, doing strategy, culture, compliance, and operations work.
Katrina was born in The Philippines and spent her formative years in the small town of Corvallis, OR by way of Los Angeles. She has spent a good portion of her life with one foot overseas, spending many school breaks visiting family in Manila. She is fluent in Tagalog thanks to these trips and continuously using it at home. She’s lived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) after graduating from Santa Clara University.
Katrina has served on the board of Green Empowerment and currently serves on the board of Family Forward Oregon. Her involvement with each organization has fueled her passion for working alongside organizations with strong missions.
Fun Fact: Katrina learned how to ride a bike at the old age of 34 so that she could join her growing children on family bike rides. Running keeps her happy and allows her to enjoy her other passion – good food!
