Carla Slabaugh (she/her) is a veteran of the United States Army who entered the service right out of high school and did her tour in Germany as a helicopter electrician. She started working in the nonprofit sector doing accounting shortly after finishing her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University in 2003.
As a sole proprietor and owner of an accounting firm, one of her largest clients was Trout Unlimited, for whom she provided services to help them operate within their contract budgets such as invoicing, reporting, and billing with regards to federal, state, private, and local grants. For her other clients, she has managed transactions including AP/AR, maintained systems, supported budgeting and forecasting, helped with audits, and handled payroll.
As an Accounting Manager and Fiscal Analyst at the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation, she worked with a volunteer board and was solely responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining all financial systems. She also transitioned their accounting system to a newer and more involved tracking program. She still lives in the Wenatchee Valley.
Carla holds a QuickBooks Online Certification and QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification.
Fun Fact: Carla enjoys spending her free time training and showing her dogs in Agility, Scentwork, Conformation Showing, Obedience, and Hunt Tests. She loves to spend time outdoors and is often out hiking with her dogs and taking photos.
