Deepali is originally from India. She grew up in Chennai, her home town where she completed most of her education before moving to the United States. In India she worked as a Corporate Governance and Compliance officer. After moving to the U.S., she completed her CPA and pursued her accounting career mostly in the banking industry. Eventually, she became interested in working with nonprofits.
Recently, Deepali has been involved with two local nonprofits – an early childhood education cooperative for preschool kids and an organization that instills values of kindness and mindfulness in elementary school children. She has served as an accountant, board treasurer and volunteer at these organizations. Deepali is interested in focusing her skills and strengths into serving nonprofit organizations that make a positive difference in the community. She is especially interested in the performing arts, childhood education, women empowerment, and mental health.
Deepali lives with her husband and two daughters in Sammamish.
Fun Fact: Besides being an accountant and mother of two beautiful girls, Deepali spends her free time pursuing Indian Classical vocal music. She also loves cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
