Mary Ann brings more than twenty years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly the performing arts, to her work as Program Manager of 501 Commons' Financial Services. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Mary Ann was graduated with a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.F.A. in Arts Administration from the California Institute of the Arts.
In addition to her leadership roles (including managing directorships of Seattle Children’s Theatre, the Delaware Theatre Company and New York’s Pearl Theatre Company, project management of the Guthrie Theater’s new complex in Minneapolis and venue management of Broadway’s famed Studio 54), Mary Ann is also proud to have been part of the founding effort of the Delaware Arts Alliance and the Belizean-based NGOs Alliance Against AIDS and Belize Humane Society.
In her free time, Mary Ann enjoys genealogical research, which, much like her professional pursuits, involves harnessing the power of data into compelling story-telling and communications.
Fun Fact: If she had to choose an entirely different profession, Mary Ann would like to be the person who selects the color name for interior paints.
