Kai Dailey leads the Information Technology Outreach and Education Program (TechOE). She is an experienced consultant, process analyst, and UX designer who loves to help nonprofits succeed. Kai began consulting in 1991 and incorporated Kai Dailey & Associates, LLC. in 2017. A seasoned project manager and communications professional, Kai brings to her consulting practice 25+ years of hands-on experience with more than 100 businesses, education and social service nonprofits, technology startups, government agencies, and sole proprietorships.
Kai graduated summa cum laude from UMass Boston with a BA in the Sociology of Community and completed a master's degree in Instructional Design & Technology from California State University Fullerton. She volunteered for four years with Coursera, mentoring Human Computer Interaction design courses for the University of California San Diego. She led the Interaction Design (IxD) Forum for the Coursera Community and started an International Mentors Reading Group to exchange cultural perspectives on classic literature from the many countries represented in the group. She began her relationship with 501 Commons in 2018 with the Executive Service Corps, completing five projects for the Pathways and Plan IT programs. She received the New Member Award for her service in 2019.
Fun Fact: Kai started her first job at age 11, working the concession counter at her family's business, People's Theater in Pleasant Hill, MO.
