Michael Ford

Support Line Technician

Originally from the east coast and Detroit, Michael came here to the Pacific Northwest through the U.S. Army where he served seven years abroad at Fort Knox (Kentucky), West Germany, Fort Riley (Kansas), California, and of course, Fort Lewis in Washington.

Michael earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Bates Technical College in Tacoma, studying computer science from 2001-2003. He decided to update his skill sets in networking, so he enrolled at Clover Park Technical College from 2010-2012 and earned another degree in Computer Networking and Security Systems. This allowed him to move into a new career field in Tier 1 IT support.

His first job was at a transportation company where he supported four cities remotely using RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). He later worked at Fuse Networks, a managing IT company that supports medical clinics remotely, doing a combination of IT and warehouse manager duties. There he was able to utilize his knowledge and strength to support end users.

Once he gained a proficient level of expertise in this field, he found a job in the nonprofit sector at Evergreen Treatment Services, which treats opioid addiction. He supported four locations in Seattle, Olympia, Ocean Shores, and Renton.

Fun Fact: Michael loves the night life, dancing, social events, sports, weight lighting, and um, he may actually be Batman!
