Patti Nelson has been in the nonprofit sector since 2013. Her first introduction to the nonprofit sector was as an Administrative Assistant for Sound Generations (formerly Senior Services) in Carnation, WA. In addition to her administrative duties there, she was also the Salesforce Administrator. Since that first experience with the platform, she went on to become a certified Salesforce Administrator, followed by more than three years as the Salesforce Administrator for Humanities Washington. Prior to learning Salesforce, Patti was also a self-employed database programmer using Microsoft Access.
Patti was raised in MA and also lived in VA for 10 years before moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 1987. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Polytechnic University and State University. Just before graduation, she took a programming class and found that she loved the technical field. The rest, as they say, is history.
In her free time, Patti enjoys cooking, gardening, and hiking. She lives in Issaquah with her college-aged daughter, one dog, two cats, a cockatiel, and lots of plants.
Fun Fact: Patti was once rope leader on a successful climb to the summit of Mt. Rainier.
