As 501 Commons’ Volunteer Initiatives Manager, Isaac oversees the Volunteer Manager Corps program and delivers training on volunteerism best practices for our nonprofit community. Isaac has been working in the field of volunteer engagement since serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA member from 2012-13.
During that time, Isaac supported and led volunteer programs at several South Sound nonprofits and was active in local and statewide professional networks for volunteer managers. He holds a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College, where he co-taught a class on Volunteer Engagement for Nonprofits in Summer 2018. He is also a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA).
Isaac is committed to helping nonprofits unlock the full potential of volunteer engagement to achieve greater impact and sustainability. He believes volunteerism deserves equal respect to fundraising as a cornerstone of effective organizations.
Fun Fact: When not working, Isaac enjoys spending time outdoors with his girlfriend, cooking, reading science fiction and political theory, and electronic music production.
