On Tuesday, May 5, 501 Commons will once again participate in The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG, a 24-hour, online debit or credit card-only charitable giving event that will benefit as many as 1,600 other nonprofits across our state. We are asking our family - board members, Executive Service Corps volunteers, Resource Directory partners, donors and so on - to help us capitalize on the power of community-minded philanthropy.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, The Seattle Foundation will once again conduct GiveBIG 2015, a 24-hour, online, debit or credit card-only charitable giving event that will benefit as many as 1,600 nonprofit organizations across the state of Washington.

501 Commons is participating in GiveBIG, and we are looking to our family – Board members, Executive Service Corps volunteers, Statewide Resource Directory partners, donors, and so on – to help us capitalize on the power of community-wide, collective philanthropy.

501 Commons depends upon philanthropy for support of our Executive Service Corps, Statewide Nonprofit Resource Directory website, capacity-building cohort programs, discounted management consulting and leadership development services, free Information and Referral Services, free workshops and training programs, as well as for building our long-term capability to meet the evolving needs of the nonprofit sector.

Please join other members of the 501 Commons family in making a credit or debit card donation to 501 Commons during GiveBIG.  You can make a positive impact and be exemplary by:

  • Committing to donate during the 24 hours of GiveBIG – 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., May 5.
  • Setting an appointment on your calendar to give at a convenient time on May 5.
  • Bookmark The Seattle Foundation’s 501 Commons page to make it easy to find on May 5.
  • Sending Twitter, e-mail, Facebook, and text messages to encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to join you in making a philanthropic investment in 501 Commons. Once you've given, please use the hashtags #GiveBIG and #501Friend to let everyone know you support our organization!
