WA Organizations: Apply by Dec. 11, 2020 for COVID-19 State Funding

Posted Dec 04, 2020 03:26 PM
Eligible nonprofits in Washington State that have a primary business that’s been shut down or reduced by the pandemic – such as a performance venue, art/cultural exhibit, fitness center, or restaurant – can apply for state funding by Dec. 11.

Right now, $50 million worth of funding is available through Round 3 of the Working Washington Small Business Grants. While this grant is primarily aimed at small businesses, nonprofits can apply if they meet the eligibility requirements listed above (Note: there are more eligibility information in the application form). Organizations can request up to $20,000 of emergency funding.

Please forward this opportunity to organizations that meet these criteria.

The grant can only cover expenses or costs incurred “due to COVID-19 and that were necessary to continue business operations.” It cannot be a replacement for shortfalls in government taxes or fees. Priority will be given to applications that are submitted by Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. However, you can still apply after that date and receive funding if the Washington State Department of Commerce has funds left over.

You can reach out to Washington Nonprofits at (855) 299-2922 or info@washingtonnonprofits.org if you need assistance filling out the application.
