We are less than a year away from the 2020 Census – and the National Council of Nonprofits says every organization has a key role to play right away.
It’s important for everyone to get counted – especially people in rural communities, POC communities, children, and seniors – so that federal dollars can be distributed fairly and equitably. Data collected from the census affects government grants, public/private partnerships, and our sector’s understanding of the people we serve.
Our friends at Washington Nonprofits have created an action toolkit for nonprofits, list of resources, and informative video that explains why nonprofits need to step up to the plate to get everybody counted.
