It’s that time of year again, a time to get in the spirit of giving BIG! We know you care about our community’s nonprofits, and by making a donation to 501 Commons on May 15, you’ll be helping lots of nonprofits make the world a better place. Check out the list of the organizations we’ve started working with just since the beginning of 2013 – it’s a lot! We serve over 200 nonprofits each year.
What are two key areas that can help nonprofits extend their reach? Technology and fundraising capacity. 501 Commons’ intensive Plan IT! and Catalyst programs specifically address these critical needs. Our new Plan IT! program offers poverty-fighting organizations a technology assessment and pairs them with consultants to develop a plan to more effectively use technology – all for free. Catalyst focuses on their fundraising capacity and helps them develop an effective case statement. We’ve delivered the program in Thurston and Snohomish Counties, and now with your help, we’ll be bringing it to South King County.
“Because of Catalyst we have a board that is much more involved and a three year budget in place to guide us to specific funding needs.” – Katterin Green, Eagle Wings disAbility Ministries
These free and low-cost programs wouldn’t be possible without individual support. Your donation on May 15 will support these programs that make a real difference in many nonprofits' ability to change the world.
How it works: Go to on The Seattle Foundation's website between midnight and midnight on May 15, and then make your donation. Just click the “donate now” button and enter your credit or debit card information. On this one day only, your donation will go even further because The Seattle Foundation will be partially matching all donations.
Our goal is to raise $7500 on May 15, and we can do it with your help. Click here to learn more about the GiveBIG Campaign.
