For nonprofits with a mission based in education, there are several capacity building services available to you, including United Way's VIP 360 program, funding for additional training/consultation, and more.

For nonprofits with a mission based in education, we have exciting news! There are several options for you to receive free or nearly free capacity building services.

Option 1:
VIP 360: This program will improve your use of volunteers, which makes your organization more resilient, increases contributions, and helps get work done you cannot do with available staff. The United Way's VIP 360 program includes an assessment and planning process that result in a more successful volunteer program.

In King County, the program, which is provided to a cohort of organizations starting in March, is funded by United Way and is free! Read about the program and contact Carolyn Cunningham at CCunningham@uwkc.org if you are interested.

Option 2:
In other counties, we now have federal funds to offer a single organization a version of VIP 360. There is only a $200 participation fee for $10,000 - $15,000 worth of consulting services from 501 Commons' service corps members. Let us know if you are interested by completing this request form.

Education organizations throughout the state can also receive up to $2,500 in leadership coaching, human resources consulting, executive advisors, or management consulting for a $200 participation fee thanks to this federal grant.

Option 3:
In King County, organizations that have already participated in the VIP 360 program or the VIP Manager Corps can receive additional free services to improve their volunteer program. Need to develop a training for volunteers? Need a plan to recruit specialized and skills-based volunteers? Want to survey your volunteers to check in on their experience? Hamstrung by not having a volunteer database? We can help you with all of this and more!

Of course, education-related nonprofits are not the only ones who can take advantage of free services to strengthen their volunteer programs. We are still looking for nonprofits of all kinds to apply for VIP 360 for the upcoming year.
