Social Justice Fund NW
As an organization interested in social justice and promoting social change, Social Justice Fund NW funds a wide range of activist organizations working in communities of color. Currently, they are offering a 2-year grant of $15,000/year ($30,000 total) for Black-led organizations and ones that have faced recent economic displacement. The Seattle Foundation
It’s a great idea to bookmark this page to see what offerings The Seattle Foundation has going on. Right now, you can apply for the Vibrant Democracy Initiative Partnership Mobilization Grant if you’re doing work to strengthen the civic voice and participation of underrepresented communities to increase racial and economic equity. Also check out Neighbor to Neighbor (next deadline is July 30), Norman Archibald Charitable Foundation (rolling basis, reviewed quarterly), and The Whitehorse Foundation (ongoing).
King County Veterans, Seniors & Human Services Levy
People released from incarceration face social, economic, institutional, and community-based barriers. This grant opportunity is available to fund services that help mitigate the long-term negative effects of system involvement on reentering individuals in King County. Small nonprofits and Black-led organizations are encouraged to submit proposals. This RFP intends to fund Black-led re-entry initiatives conceived by and intended for community members who have lived experience with reentry. Proposals are due by Sept. 3, 2020 at midnight.
Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority – Nimble Grants
Agencies can apply for up to $30,000 in the Nimble Grant process. Funding may be used as a bridge to support staff salaries during the project year only if there is a clear plan for ongoing future funding. You may submit applications for a Nimble Grant at any time. See guidance on applying for Nimble Grants.
