Over 40 nonprofit professionals came together at our latest breakfast event, and learned how a program quality initiative can improve their programs and help build capacity.
On Wednesday, October 9th, it was all about quality. Over 40 nonprofit professionals gathered at the Silver Cloud Hotel in downtown Seattle for a dynamic breakfast session, 'Focus on Quality: Raikes Foundation Shares Success Stories", featuring Robin Held, Executive Director of Reel Grrls, Jody Rosentswieg, Program Officer at the Raikes Foundation, and Erica Mullen, Associate Executive Director of the YMCA..
Robin and Erica shared their own stories about how adopting a program quality initiative substantially improves program results, and helps build capacity. They described how the program, which allows everyone in the organization to have a common understanding of program quality, results in increased engagement and leadership opportunities for youth, in addition to providing an environment for the professional growth of staff members.
