Put Your Volunteer Management Experience to Good Use By Sharing Your Expertise with Other Nonprofits

Posted Mar 30, 2017 02:27 PM
Sometimes, the best way to learn is to teach. We're reaching out to volunteer managers with a remarkable professional development opportunity that provides personal as well as community-building benefits.

501 Commons is currently seeking nonprofit volunteer management professionals who would like to share their expertise with other nonprofits. At a time that works best for you and your employer, you can serve as a consultant, generally on a team, for 4-6 hours a month, supported and coached by our professional staff.

This is your chance to grow, deepen your skills, learn new things along the way, and lend a helping hand to fellow nonprofits. Most of us learn best by doing. By sharing what you know with other nonprofits, you can further develop your own professional and leadership skills.

There is no cost to join. If you need any extra encouragement, consider requesting a few hours of release/paid time to engage in this learning experience. Share this opportunity with other people in your network! Interested nonprofit professionals with volunteer management experience can contact Jan Burrell at jan@501commons.org to learn more.
