The Executive Director Forum is a unique opportunity for nonprofit EDs/CEOs to connect with their peers, share ideas, and learn from each other in a supportive environment. Each session offers three discussion groups facilitated by three outstanding leaders.
The upcoming ED Forum is on Friday, Sept. 11 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Pacific Tower. The cost is $15 for nonmembers and free for members of 501 Commons, Global Washington, and Washington Nonprofits.
Discussion Group 1: Are you - and your board - clear about your authority?
Brianna Jackson | Executive Director | Community Day School Association
Brianna Jackson is the executive director of Community Day School Association, which believes that all children deserve a high-quality educational experience outside of school. CDSA provides local families affordable preschool, kindergarten-readiness programs, before- and after-school enrichment, and summer learning opportunities that build the foundation for success.
Discussion Group 2: How are we going to pay for this? Getting everyone in your organization on board with your fundraising plan
Deb Salls | Executive Director | Bike Works
Deb Salls is the executive director of Bike Works, which uses the bicycle as a figurative and literal tool for education and transformation. Bike Works allows kids of all ages to explore the world by bicycle. Discussion Group 3: U-Pick!
Nancy Long | Executive Director | 501 Commons

If you have a topic you would like to discuss at a future ED Forum – or the name of a facilitator you would like a chance to talk to – send that to Nancy Long at nancy@501commons.org.
