2015 VIP Management Corps Opportunities

Get involved this fall

We need you!

We are seeking volunteers with diverse backgrounds and skills to join United Way’s Volunteer Impact Partnership Manager Corps. VIP Manager Corps is a United Way program delivered in partnership with 501 Commons that helps local human services nonprofit organizations develop and sustain effective volunteer engagement programs and practices.

VMC Members act as a temporary boost in staffing to help identify volunteer program needs and implement solutions that will develop or enhance the organization’s volunteer program over the long haul. VMC members are expected to volunteer 10 hours per week during the 9-5 workday, including regular check-in meetings and cohort gatherings, to fulfill the program hours.

VMC Member Benefits

The VMC Member role provides community members the satisfaction of helping an organization to be better able to engage with volunteers in achieving their mission.

In return for service, VMC Members will receive:

  • resources in volunteer management
  • experience working with a nonprofit organization
  • the opportunity to collaborate with peers
  • recognition for helping to increase an organization’s capacity to deliver services
  • ongoing support throughout the program
  • the ability to earn internship credit
  • an $800 United Way of King County service award

Applicants will be interviewed by both 501 Commons and participating organizations. Please kindly note that given the maximum capacity of the program, we will not be able to match every applicant with an organization.
