United Way of King County, in partnership with 501 Commons, is offering two programs to help organizations make the most of their volunteer programs. Join today as a volunteer!
United Way of King County’s Volunteer Impact Partnership (VIP) increases organizational capacity to help nonprofits more effectively meet their missions through recruiting, engaging and retaining high-value volunteers. In the past 5 years, 82 organizations have seen the benefits of enhancing their volunteer efforts through United Way's VIP program. With more volunteers, more effective processes, better retention rates and strategic placement of skilled volunteers, organizations are better poised to fulfill their mission in the most cost effective way. Volunteer your skills as a consultant or a volunteer manager and strengthen our community’s ability to deliver needed services today!
VIP 360
VIP 360 helps organizations create a fundamental shift in the way they engage volunteers and a solid roadmap for improving their volunteer services. Volunteer consultants will:
• Serve in teams of two to lead a local organization through a structured planning process
• Work closely with the organization to identify key issues and action steps for improvement
• Facilitate meetings, take notes and draft reports
• Serve about 8-10 hours per month
If you have expertise in human resources, volunteer management and/or planning and facilitation, we need you! Please consider joining a corps of highly trained professionals dedicated to helping organizations build their capacity to effectively engage volunteers.
Are you ready to serve as a VIP 360 consultant? If so, apply to serve today! Please contact jan@501commons.org with questions.
