Why are organizations adding “Equity” to Diversity and Inclusion? What does it mean for organizations, and for individuals? This session will take on the meaning of Equity, then the most difficult equity to achieve: Racial Equity. We’ll explore the haunting questions: why is racism so perplexing? So intractable? We’ll peer through several lenses to understand these questions: the Neuroscience of human beings, social conditioning that shapes how we think and behave, unlearning misconceptions, cementing new ones. Change requires identifying our values and infusing care into our systems.
