About Christoff Consulting and Coaching
Christoff Consulting & Coaching provides independent fundraising strategy and implementation services to nonprofit organizations, with a focus on building development infrastructure that lasts beyond any single grant or campaign. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit development, I work with organizations across environmental justice, food justice, disability services, health, and advocacy sectors at the local, regional, and national levels.
SERVICES INCLUDE:
• Grant writing and grant portfolio management, from prospect research through LOI, full proposal, grant compliance, and reporting
• Donor relations program development: donor segmentation, touchpoint planning, acknowledgment systems, and stewardship calendar tools
• Major gifts strategy and donor communications
• Development audits and program assessments for organizations building or rebuilding their fundraising function
• Case for support development, theory of change, and campaign development and messaging
• Staff and board coaching on fundraising fundamentals and donor cultivation
• Interim development director support
I work as both a direct consultant to nonprofits and as a senior subcontractor with a boutique fundraising firm on the East Coast, which extends my reach to clients nationwide. Recent engagements have included work with organizations focused on Pacific Northwest waterways and environmental advocacy, pediatric disability services, and public health capacity building.
My approach is practical and capacity-focused: I aim to leave every client with stronger systems, clearer donor relationships, and a development program they can sustain and grow. I bring particular depth in working with small to mid-sized nonprofits that are formalizing their development operations for the first time, as well as established organizations navigating transitions in leadership or funding strategy.
