About 501 Commons

Your mission is to build a better world. Our mission is to help you succeed.

What can 501 Commons do for you?

We offer a broad range of consulting services and leadership coaching – expertise and help you didn’t think you could afford! Services include board development, strategic planning, financial management, human resources, technology, facilitation, and much more.

501 Commons also helps organizations advocate effectively, partner successfully, and learn from one another. So we often partner with philanthropy to create programs, resources, and services that strengthen the nonprofit community overall or support a specific group of grantees.

How do we keep our services affordable and high-quality?

In some cases, we engage skilled professionals who donate their time and talents as consultants, advisers, and leadership coaches. In others, our trained staff provides consulting support and advice. In all situations, we carefully manage the project or service and monitor client satisfaction.

Not sure where to focus?

No problem. Our Pathways program includes an organizational assessment and advice on how to build the capacity of your organization. Or talk with our staff and we'll help you determine next steps.

Arts and cultural organizations, in particular, should check out Springboard, a cohort program for six nonprofits. Participants complete an assessment, select three key issues, and develop a plan for greater impact and sustainability.

A resource for nonprofits. A partner for philanthropy.

Whether it's our services, online resources, or referrals to outside experts that we screen through our Information & Referral Program, 501 Commons is your first stop when looking for ways to increase your organization's effectiveness. Explore our website or contact us today.
