About Jacobson Jarvis & Co, PLLC

As the region’s largest firm focused exclusively on the financial and accounting needs of not-for-profit organizations across the Pacific Northwest, our mission is to help nonprofits work better, not harder.

Because of our exclusive focus, we understand the distinct connection between a not-for-profit’s financial reporting, its financial management, and its ability to build donor support behind its mission. As a result, our clients are able to more effectively achieve their organizational objectives.

We assist clients in the following areas:

• AUDIT: Our audit team is one of the largest and most experienced in the region, having over 20 years of experience involving hundreds of not-for-profit audits across a wide spectrum of organizations. We know what works and what does not, which means clients benefit from our experience-based recommendations that help their organizations thrive long after the audit is complete.

• TAX: The Jacobson Jarvis tax team has a unique understanding of not-for-profit tax issues and their impact on an organization’s reporting to internal and external audiences. Our mission is to help not-for-profit clients understand potential tax problems and chart a course to successfully navigate the complexities of tax code.

• CONSULTING: Jacobson Jarvis provides a range of customized consulting services and training programs focused on helping not-for-profit organizations understand and improve their use of financial data, including financial health check-ups, development of customized financial reporting tools, internal controls documentation, internal audits, QuickBooks configuration, as well as all aspects of forming a tax-exempt organization.

Along with the services we offer, Jacobson Jarvis is proud to be a sustaining resource to the not-for-profit community by providing ongoing training and education opportunities for executive leaders and board members. Topics include governance, financial reporting, and other tax-related issues. In addition, our team members are frequently sought as speakers at not-for-profit conferences, and actively participate in state and national committees regarding not-for-profit accounting and related matters.
