About Public Interest Management Group

Public Interest Management Group (PIMG) offers management consulting services that help nonprofits thrive in a competitive world. We use road-tested methods that focus on both your financial bottom line and mission results. Three important keywords are: sustainability, scalability and impact.

PIMG was founded in 2007 by Scott Schaffer. A four-time nonprofit CEO (and past CFO), he’s led financial turnarounds, directed successful mergers, alliances, and executive transitions.

Service Offerings:

Our distinctive strength lies at the intersection of financial analysis and organizational development. Our services integrate both holistically, in three general service areas:

- Strategic and Business Planning
- Merger and Restructuring
- Financial Turnaround Strategy

We customize services to fit client needs, and an end goal of fostering highly effective, well managed and financially healthy organizations. See our website for more detail.

In addition, we have a partnership with Third Sector Company for interim executive leadership, succession planning and board-led ED search.

Our Approach:

A major theme of our work is helping clients find sustainable business models. We use rigorous financial modeling, planning and organizational assessment tools. See our website for more detail.
