Founded in 2002, the mission of Third Sector Company is to foster a continuity of professional and voluntary leadership for the futures of the nonprofit sector. Created by a community of nonprofit professionals to benefit their peers, Third Sector Company, Inc. is a highly specialized professional services organization deeply committed to and driven by a mission statement that values human capital development as fundamental to an organization's success.
Since its beginnings, Third Sector Company has approached its work as a mission-driven social enterprise to provide the following lines of service exclusively to charitable organizations and professional trade associations:
INTERIM EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT: Providing trained, vetted, and highly experienced nonprofit professionals supported by a team of peers that adhere to a series of protocols and service requirements. Third Sector Company offers interim chief executive, chief development, chief operating and chief financial candidates.
BOARD CHAIRS ACADEMY: Offering a six-part learning experience for nonprofit organizations to create a pipeline of future board leadership talent and create a governance point of view based on Third Sector Company’s “Governance as Stewardship” model.
EXECUTIVE PERFORMANCE PLANNING, REVIEW, & ENHANCEMENT: Supporting our peer executives and nonprofit organizations with a thorough third-party executive performance review process with additional services to enhance executive performance through peer mentoring and performance planning.
NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP SUCCESSION PLANNING, CONSULTATION & TRAINING: Mobilizing the core of our mission statement to help nonprofits to create a culture of succession through succession plan creation, transition strategy development and training. Nonprofit succession planning can include peer coaching to help executives construct, announce, and successfully transition.
NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP SEARCH: Providing executive search services as a capacity-building intervention for organization’s in transition using Third Sector Company’s regimented approach to search committee training and orientation, organizational assessment, position development, candidate recruitment and screening, selection and on-boarding. Third Sector Company offers full-service executive search and support for chief executive, chief development, chief operating and chief financial positions.
