How much will membership cost?
In an effort to create an equitable pricing structure for our services, 501 Commons' membership rates operate on a sliding scale fee structure that is based on your organization’s annual operating budget. Dues range from $50 to $500. Visit our membership fees page for more info.

How does my organization become a 501 Commons member?
To become a member:

  1. Fill out our online membership form. The form asks for some general questions about your organization, your IRS Employee Identification Number (EIN) or Tax ID, and your annual operating budget to see where you fall on our sliding fee scale.
  2. Submit the form and we’ll send you a confirmation email and an invoice for your dues.
  3. Return your invoice along with your membership dues to: 501 Commons, Pacific Tower, Suite 1101, 1200 12th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98144-2712.
  4. If you would like to pay online, there is a link included in the confirmation email.

Once I submit the form, when can my organization start using 501 Commons services?
Your membership will become active as soon as we receive your membership form and dues payment. As soon as your membership is active, you may register for events or contact us for hands-on consulting assistance.

Do I have to be a member to use 501 Commons services?
Not at all! Any nonprofit or education organization, as well as government programs, are welcome to use 501 Commons services and pay the non-member rate. However, if you are using 501 Commons services on a regular basis  membership is affordable and pays for itself quickly.  If you are primarily interested in coming to 501 Commons events and are a member of Washington Nonprofits, your membership in our state associations gets you the discounted rate at 501 Commons events.

How long will membership last?
The chart below shows when your renewal will be due (don’t worry, we’ll send you a notification in advance). You may apply at any time, and your membership will become active the month in which we receive your application. We have four quarterly renewal deadlines: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
