Our free online tech events and resource library, affordable workshops, and low-cost consulting services support your efforts to secure information systems and data, meet compliance responsibilities, and make impactful use of the technology already in use at your organization.

The Tech Outreach and Education program (TechOE) is a technology education, planning, and mentoring program designed to meet the needs of nonprofit professionals who lead or manage data security and technology.

Gain a deeper understanding of how people, process, and technology work together within your organization through our abundant catalog of services:

  • Free Tech Clinic lecture series for nonprofit leadership, operations, and IT staff

Visit the TechOE Program Events page to browse past events, register for upcoming events, watch Tech Clinic videos, and download free tools. Don't miss our free all-day cybersecurity-themed Tech Clinic every October!

  • Quick Consults with a technology expert (billed at $25 per 15 minutes, 2-hour maximum)

Meet with a cybersecurity, data privacy compliance, or technology planning expert (billed at $25 per 15 minutes, 2-hour maximum). We will try to respond to you within 72 hours. Contact Kai Dailey, kai@501commons.org.

  • 501 Talks Tech Trainings

The 501 Talks Tech training series is a free service for nonprofits covering a variety of technology topics. Each interactive workshop lasts an hour. You'll come away having learned something that can be directly applied to your organization.

  • Free information and referral services

Visit our resource library in the Technology Knowledge Center to find information on tech tools and solutions. Watch videos and check out presentation slides and resources from previous workshops.

  • Plan IT On Demand: Technology, Cybersecurity, and Compliance Planning

Plan IT Our Plan IT Program services are provided by expert service corps members who donate their time and knowledge to keep our fees low.

  • Cybersecurity Awareness Program Planning and Management

Create a plan to prioritize training based on the cybersecurity needs of your organization.
